Job Title: French Head of Public Relations

Responsible To: Shawn Vulliez, Director-at-Large Public Relations

Position Summary: To grow and maintain the public relations committee with members able to handle PR in French. To develop, with the committee, media releases and conduct interviews with media in French. May occasionally have to translate English releases into French.

Duties:

  • Be available to conduct interviews in person or on the phone in French
  • Develop timely media releases in French
  • Be prepared to translate English media releases into French
  • Keep up to date on political events as they relate to the party
  • Provide clear, conscise and informative infromation in interviews & releases in French

Qualifications:

  • Read, Write & Speak French, Read, Write & Speak English
  • Writing Skills
  • Verbal Skills
  • Must be passionate about the core values of the PPCA

Time Commitment:

  • We request that if you commit, you do so for a minimum of 1-year

Comments:

  • Must have own internet access
  • This position is very research intensive. Therefore we request that prospective volunteers are able to keep abreast of Pirate Issues at all times
  • The primary job of this position is to attract more people capable of speaking, writing and reading French to the PR committee
