Job Title: Quick Response Team Member

Responsible To: Public Relations Coordinator or the International & Interpartisan Relations Director, based upon contents of work

Position Summary: To write press releases on time sensitive events within moments of the event occurring, preferably before it hits newsprint.

Duties:

  • Keep up to date on the latest news and information, including parliamentary developments
  • Write and edit press releases
  • Be prepared to answer interview questions as necessary
  • Prepare a monthly report on innovation matters for presentation during the PR Team meeting
  • Attend the monthly PR Team meeting

Qualifications:

  • Be a member, in good standing, of the Pirate Party of Canada
  • Possess Research Skills (Internet & Traditional)
  • Possess Speaking skills
  • Possess Writing Skills

Time Commitment:

  • We request that if you commit, you do so for a minimum of 1-year

Comments:

  • Must have own internet access
  • Bilingualism is an asset
